Cast Notes and New Performance Photographs

Robert Hall: "I love the theater, not only because it brings so much pleasure to this weary world, but, for me, acting on stage is a chance to step out of the old repetitious Robert play and step into a whole new production, if only for a short time.  What a relief!"

Jeanne Rogers: Jeanne began acting in 1975 as a way to overcome shyness. From Ado Annie in “Oklahoma” to various roles In Shakespeare Northwest to a featured extra in the film, “What the Bleep Do We Know?” she experienced the freedom of becoming a different personality on stage. She currently devotes her time to painting, writing, teaching Argentine Tango and is quick to add that she is as excited as a tick in hound’s ear to be cast as Vivien Leigh in “And Then There Was Nun.”

Donna Schultz: After many years in Colorado, retired to our Todos Santos community in 2010. High on her bucket list was a chance to act - and "checkmark" - she played the Wicked Witch of the West in last year's production of The Wizard Of Oz with a Todos Santos  Twist. Her prior acting experience- "My life, it's seen more drama than Broadway! A huge thank you to Luna Azul Productions and my fellow thespians for their guidance and support - they made my dream come true!"

Valma Brenton lives in Las Playitas near Todos Santos.  She is intuitive, creative, enthusiastic and fun.  Valma has been involved in both the creative and healing arts since she was very young.  She is a successful writer, author and photographer. In between her creative pursuits she is often traveling around the world creating unique life adventures for women. She plays the part of Marilyn Monroe.

Isabel Smyth: Has been performing in, writing and directing plays most of her adult life - across Canada for 30 yeas, and in Baja for over 10 years.   Now with the addition of their own theater ''Teatro Luna Azul' more dreams are possible and can include all kinds of people, including the local Baja community. She is honored to play Kathryn Hepburn, who was such a ground breaking role model for women in her time.

Miriam Sanchez: Miriam has been in the music business most of her life, producing concert events and promoting musicians. She owned a recording studio in New York and Rosarito Mexico, and did a little community theater in her younger days.  She is looking forward to her debut as Hattie here in Todos Santos.

Anita Harris:"I always knew I should have bee an actress, but work always got in the way! My acting career got started thanks to a couple of gin and tonic's which gave me the courage to enter a raffle at the Hotel California where I won an acting workshop with Isabel Smyth. I then starred in two short plays and fame went to my head! My next roll was as Glinda the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz with a Todos Twist. By then I was hooked and now I'm playing the part of Gloria Swanson and sure having lots of fun.

Vickie Butler: Vickie's previous acting experience consisted of two plays during her senior year of high school, and a one-act two years ago. As the Director’s Assistant (“Little Slave Girl”) during the highly acclaimed Wizard of Oz with a Todos Twist, Vickie loved her behind-the-scenes work with the cast and crew. Memorizing lines as Joan Crawford and collaborating with this year’s outstanding NUN ensemble has further increased her admiration for the art and craft of acting!

Marilyn Martin: Marilyn's stage experience began with drama class, in her freshman year of college, back in Connecticut.  Then....25 years later, it happened in Sun Valley, where she played the part of a wicked governess in an Agatha Christie mystery, followed by a small speaking part as the taxi driver in "Harvey".  And now, this is her debut with Blue Moon Productions as Judy Garland.

Kat Wilson, a 20 year southern Baja native admits she hasn't been on a stage in 40 years, since high school, but is looking forward to 'busting out' again as Mae West. You can catch her other act on Saturday mornings selling her hand painted tiles, alternating between San Jose organic market and our great & growing Cañada del Diabolo market.

Pat Raines: Beginning at age 16, Pat strutted her stuff on local stages of her hometown of Adrian, Michigan doing many fashion shows.  After winning a county title to compete in the Miss Michigan Pageant. Lots of stage experience but now her acting debut - her favorite actress happens to be Bette Davis.
